Daniel C. Plaster, tenor, is sought after as a specialist in the technically demanding works of J.S. Bach, Handel, Stravinsky and Britten. A veteran of the opera house, concert stage and classroom, he is also a member of the Air National Guard Band of the Southwest, often singing for sporting events, patriotic ceremonies, and entertainment programs around the world.
During the 1990s, he was founding member of Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra. He performed with the Los Angeles Master Chorale under Roger Wagner, Paul Salamunovich, and Grant Gershon; with Los Angeles Opera Chorus; and served as soloist for the St. Cyril of Jerusalem Music Program, Encino, under the direction of William C. Beck.
As concert soloist, Daniel has appeared with The Southwest Chamber Music Society, the Seattle Baroque Orchestra, California Philharmonic, Fresno Philharmonic, Pacific Chorale, Cuesta College, Santa Cruz, Riverside, Santa Maria , Long Beach, and San Fernando Valley Master Chorales, to name a few. He has participated in the recording of several feature-film soundtracks, including Jurassic Park, Home Alone II, Air Force One, and The Sum of All Fears.
With his wife, soprano Diane Plaster, he is also active as a music instructor and ensemble coach in the South Bay region of Los Angeles.
