Described as "a remarkably mature young violinist with extraordinary stage presence", "emerging as if a highly burnished and glowing ruby", violinist Aroussiak Baltaian has gained an international attention through her extensive appearances as a prominent recitalist, soloist, chamber musician and recording artist
Ms. Baltaian has perfomed in major cities throughout the United States, Great Britain, Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic and Bulgaria. She is a First and Grand prize winner of numerous international competitions. Ms.Baltaian has studied with Martin Chalifour (USA), Professor Yfrah Neaman (UK), Kevork Mardirossian (USA) and Garo Baltaian(Bulgaria). She has also worked with various artists such as Andre Previn, Zubin Mehta, Pierre Boulez, Sir Colin Davis, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Leonard Slatkin, Charles Dutoit, David Zinman, Richard Hickox, Jorge Mester, Ivan Fischer, John Williams, Eudice Shapiro, Eric Friedman, Midori, Menahem Pressler.
Ms.Baltaian is a member of the Pasadena Symphony Orchestra and also performs regularly with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of the South Bay. She maintains a private teaching studio in the greater Los Angeles area.
In the summer of 2004, Ms. Baltaian was on the faculty of The International Festival-Institute at Round Top. She joined the faculty of the Music Department at The Master's College in the Fall of 2004. |
